A dedicated SEN school in Wokingham is searching for a compassionate and motivated Classroom Assistant to support children with a range of complex needs. In this role, you'll help engage students in learning, track their academic and emotional progress, and foster a positive, inclusive classroom atmosphere. Every day is unique, making this a dynamic and rewarding position.

About the Role:
As a Special Needs Classroom Assistant, you'll work closely with a small group of 8 students, supporting the teacher, preparing materials, and helping create a vibrant, engaging learning space. The school serves both primary and secondary students with diverse needs, including autism, attention difficulties, learning challenges, mental health concerns, and physical disabilities. Resilience and adaptability are essential, as well as a proactive approach to any challenges. Training will be provided for personal care and behavior management if needed.

Ideal Candidate Profile:

  • Experience working with children or adults with special educational needs (SEN) is beneficial
  • Enthusiastic and passionate about supporting students
  • Skilled at motivating and engaging students
