Exciting Opportunity for a Speech & Language Therapist in Wokingham!
GSL Education are seeking dedicated and compassionate Speech & Language Therapists to join supportive schools in Wokingham. This is a fantastic opportunity for a skilled professional to make a meaningful impact on students with speech, language, and communication needs.
Key Responsibilities as a Speech & Language Therapist:
- Assessment & Intervention: Conduct assessments and implement tailored therapy plans for students with communication difficulties.
- 1:1 & Group Support: Provide targeted interventions in both individual and small-group settings.
- Collaboration: Work closely with teachers, SENCOs, and other professionals to support students' communication development.
- Training & Guidance: Offer advice and training to staff and parents to support students’ speech and language needs in the classroom and at home.
- Monitoring Progress: Track and evaluate student progress, adjusting interventions as needed.
Requirements for the Role:
- Relevant Qualification: Degree in Speech and Language Therapy or equivalent.
- HCPC Registration: Must be HCPC registered or working towards it.
- Experience in Schools: Previous experience working with children in an educational setting is desirable.
- Strong Communication Skills: Ability to engage with students, staff, and parents effectively.
- DBS Check: Must have an Enhanced DBS on the update service or be willing to apply for one through GSL Education.
