We are partnering with a global leader in the manufacturing industry, currently seeking a highly skilled Senior Accountant to join their finance department on a permanent basis. This is a fantastic opportunity to broaden your expertise in financial management, work closely with senior stakeholders, and contribute to critical business initiatives.

Role Summary:

Reporting to the Site Reporting Manager, you will gain hands-on experience in financial and corporate reporting, statutory accounting, long-term financial planning, and tax compliance. In addition, you will play a key role in budgeting and forecasting, improving internal controls, and providing guidance to junior accountants. The role promises strong potential for career advancement within the finance team.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare and deliver financial and corporate reports.
  • Manage statutory accounts, tax compliance, and cost analysis.
  • Collaborate with key departments (such as operations, engineering, and program management) to enhance financial performance.
  • Lead the preparation of financial reporting schedules and assist with internal and external audits.
  • Step in as a representative for the Reporting Manager and Finance Director when required.
  • Mentor and provide leadership to a team of three trainee accountants.

Skills & Qualifications:

  • Fully qualified accountant (ACA/CIMA/ACCA).
  • Proficient in advanced Excel, with a keen eye for detail.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, capable of translating complex financial data into clear insights.
  • Able to manage workloads effectively and meet tight deadlines.
