OverviewMitchell Adam is proud to represent a niche, market-leading Manufacturing client in their search for an ambitious Assistant Accountant. Based in their stunning Wolverhampton office, you'll join a small and collaborative accounts team, working closely with an experienced Finance Manager. This is a fantastic opportunity to receive excellent training and mentorship, setting you on the path to becoming a Business Partner in the future.

In this role, you'll partner with the Finance Manager to manage the sales and purchase ledger, oversee invoicing, and handle credit follow-ups. You'll also focus on precise bank and supplier reconciliations and gradually take on more advanced tasks, including accruals and prepayments. As you grow in the role, you'll contribute to the preparation of management accounts, gaining experience in fixed assets, stock management, and other key areas.

Skills required

  • A positive attitude with a strong eagerness to learn and take on new challenges.
  • Ideally, AAT qualified with foundational knowledge of entry-level accounts and a commitment to pursuing ACCA/CIMA qualifications.
  • Strong interpersonal skills to thrive in a lively and engaging office environment.
  • Previous experience with accruals and prepayments, providing a solid base for development.
