Mitchell Adam are excited to be recruiting for a new Assistant Financial Accountant role located in the Wolverhampton area. Our client is a national hospitality business that is looking to continue building their existing financial team due to a recent promotion. Employee progression is at the heart of their operation, with progress plans uniquely tailored to each employee. This is the ideal role for an outgoing candidate that genuinely enjoys working with data.

Prior experience working in a similar role is required as you will need experience working with reconciliations, accounts and VAT. You will be reporting directly to the Financial Controller who will be present to support you fully within your training, spending full time in the office with you to provide as much guidance as necessary. Some general duties that you will be exposed to will be: data management, preparing annual statutory accounts and liaising with stakeholders.

What you'll need:

  • Be actively studying towards your professional qualifications, whether this is CIMA, ACA or ACCA.
  • Have the willingness to train and learn, previous exposure to all role specific duties is not essential but the willingness to learn is.
  • Be a confident and engaging candidate who enjoys building connections with people, this will be crucial in building stakeholder relationships.
  • Proficiency in excel, prior experience using various other financial systems would also be beneficial.
