Immediate start. 

Location: Wolverhampton – WV10

Company: Food Manufacturing

Payrate: £12.50-14.50ph

This is a temporary to permanent role, 37.5 hours a week, it will be office based, no hybrid working.

About Us: My client is a leading food manufacturing business dedicated to producing high-quality products. We are seeking a meticulous and dedicated Bookkeeper to join our dynamic team and help manage our financial records with accuracy and integrity.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Maintain accurate books on accounts payable and receivable, payroll, and daily financial entries and reconciliations.
  • Prepare financial reports by collecting, analysing, and summarising account information.
  • Provide accounting and clerical support to the accounting department
  • Regularly maintain detailed records of accounting transactions.
  • Perform monthly bank settlements.
  • Assist with budget preparation and financial planning processes.
  • Use bookkeeping software, spreadsheets, and databases proficiently.
  • Handle sensitive or confidential information with honesty and integrity.
  • Prepare bank deposits, general ledger postings and statements
  • Reconcile accounts in a timely manner
  • Daily enter key data of financial transactions in database
  • Help and support to company personnel
  • Research, track and restore accounting or documentation problems and discrepancies
  • Inform management and compile reports/summaries on activity areas
  • Function in accordance with established standards, procedures and applicable laws
  • Constantly update job knowledge

Qualifications:

  • Proven bookkeeping experience.
  • Solid understanding of basic accounting principles.
  • Experience with general ledger functions and the month-end/year-end close process.
  • Hands-on experience with spreadsheets and proprietary software (QuickBooks, Sage, etc.).
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office, especially Excel.
  • High degree of accuracy and attention to detail.
