As a Caretaker, you will:

Report to the Senior Librarian, ensuring all standards are met
Maintain the swift and efficient movement of stock and goods
Ensure the cleanliness and tidiness of all areas within and surrounding the Central Building
Carry out delivery duties to various service points, ensuring continuity in service during absences
Collaborate with the Senior Librarian to ensure alarm systems are maintained
Regularly review job responsibilities to align with service needs
Uphold the organisation's policies on Equal Opportunities and Health and Safety
Engage in training opportunities to expand knowledge on local and national developments
Perform additional duties consistent with the role as required
Proven experience in a caretaker or similar role
Strong organisational and time management skills
Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team
Commitment to maintaining high cleanliness and service standards
Knowledge of health and safety regulations
Experience in library or educational settings
Familiarity with alarm and security systems
Proficient in using basic tools and equipment
Basic knowledge of library systems and tools
Familiarity with alarm systems
