Opportunity: The Recruiting Co, acting as an employment business, are now looking to recruit Class 1 Drivers for our client who is based in the Wolverhampton area. Our client is a family-run business based in the Midlands, established in 2009. With a strong commitment to delivering excellence in transportation services, they have expanded their fleet of Class 1 vehicles and are now looking to grow their team of drivers.
Working Hours:Start times ranging from 0400 to 0900, averaging 12-hour days.
Location:Wolverhampton
Pay:£18.00 per hour Monday to Friday (Days), £19.00 per hour Monday to Friday (Nights), £20.00 per hour Saturdays and £21.00 per hour Sundays.
Duties will include:
- Safely and punctually transporting goods to designated destinations.
- Completing 2-3drops per day plus collections.
- Utilising ratchet straps and internal straps for securing loads.
- Operating curtain side vehicles, including opening curtains for unloading.
- No hand ball required, but as it is a customer-facing role, if support is required, please provide assistance.
To be considered forthis role, you must have:
- Valid Class 1 (Category C+E) driving licence.
- Minimum 2 years on the licence and one year's driving experience.
- Experience with ratchet straps and internal straps.
- Ability to operate curtain side vehicles.
- Strong commitment to safety protocols.
- Excellent communication skills.
