About Us:We are a small, energetic company focused on General Haulage using curtain sider trailers. Our team is committed and diligent, and we are seeking a similarly motivated individual with a positive attitude to join us. This role requires maximum hours and includes weekend work.
Shift Patterns:
- 5 days a week
- 4 on 4 off pattern available
- Part time set days or ad hoc
- Average Shift Length: 13 hours per day
Start Time: Between 4:00 AM and 6:00 AM (must be flexible)
Compensation:
- £180 per shift (inclusive of all hours) Monday to Saturday
- £190 per shift (inclusive of all hours) on Sunday
Key Responsibilities:
- Operate a curtain side lorry to transport goods to various destinations
- Load and unload cargo, ensuring proper securement and compliance with safety regulations, use of pump trucks no handballing required.
- Conduct vehicle inspections for mechanical issues and safety concerns
- Communicate effectively with dispatchers, customers, and team members
- Accurately complete all delivery documentation
- Maintain a clean and presentable vehicle
- Comply with traffic laws and regulations
Requirements:
- Excellent driving record with no traffic violations
- Valid LGV C+E licence
- Valid CPC / DQC Card
- Valid Digital tachograph card
- Minimum of 2 years LGV C+E experience
- Ability to handle the physical demands of the job, including occasional lifting of heavy objects and driving long distances
- Excellent organisational and time management skills
- Strong communication and customer service skills
- Willingness to undergo training to familiarise with trailers and equipment
