Company Description

Title: Head Chef

Location: Wolverhampton Grammar School

Annual Salary: Up to £36,000 per annum

Hours: 40 hours per week, 52 weeks per year

Schedule: Primarily Monday to Friday, with occasional evenings and weekends as required

Job Description

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee all aspects of kitchen management, from menu planning to food preparation and staff training.
  • Deliver high-quality, nutritious, and creative meals tailored to students' diverse dietary needs.
  • Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations while maintaining an organized and efficient kitchen.
  • Collaborate with school leadership to create bespoke hospitality offerings for events.
  • Inspire and lead a dedicated team to achieve excellence in every service.


Qualifications

Qualifications and Skills:

  • Proven experience as a Head Chef or in a similar senior role, ideally in a high-volume or educational setting.
  • Culinary qualification (e.g., NVQ Level 3) and excellent knowledge of food safety standards.
  • Strong leadership and organizational skills to manage a team effectively.
  • Creativity and passion for delivering high-quality, nutritious meals.
  • Flexibility to adapt to the needs of a busy kitchen, including occasional evening or weekend work.
