Toro Recruitment is excited to offer an opportunity for an experienced Deputy Team Leader on behalf of a prominent client in the energy sector. Based in Wolverhampton, the role of a Deputy Team Leader supports the Team Leader in overseeing plant operations, ensuring efficient turbine and boiler functioning, and providing supervision to the operations team. 

Responsibilities of a Deputy Team Leader:

• Oversee and monitor plant operations, including turbine and boiler functions, and ensure effective waste management coordination.
• Use the Direct Control System (DCS) to monitor system performance, ensuring all temperature, pressure, and flow readings meet operational standards.
• Provide support to the operations team, maintaining compliance with company policies and managing shift log entries for operational continuity.
• Coordinate emergency procedures and address both planned and unplanned repairs and blockages in the absence of the Team Leader.
• Support control room monitoring, operate the overhead crane, and maintain accurate reporting of plant activities, including night shifts and weekend operations.

Requirements:

• Experience with high-pressure boiler and steam turbine plant operations.
• Proven supervisory experience within a plant or industrial setting.
• Forklift Truck (FLT) certification required, with experience in Front Loading Shovel (FLS) operation advantageous.
• First Aid certification preferred.
• Strong understanding of health and safety policies, with experience in reporting incidents and upholding safety protocols.
