Resident Sports and Boarding Graduate Job

Are you a recent graduate or due to graduate in 2025? Are you looking for a fantastic experience of working within a boarding school in a rewarding role where all bills and accommodation are paid for?

Do you have experience in coaching any of the following 3 sports: football, rugby or cricket? If so, read on.

Founded in 1863 this college is and independent co-educational day and boarding school providing quality education to children aged from 2 - 18 years. They currently have around 500 pupils the majority of whom are from the midlands with a large international presence.

They are looking for an enthusiastic and engaging Graduate Assistant (Sports) to join their team for the remainder of the academic year September 2025 - July 2026

The Role:

  • To share the responsibility for the health and safety, well-being and safeguarding of all pupils
  • To promote high standards of punctuality, behaviour and good manners with all pupils, taking appropriate action where necessary.
  • To be fully aware of the colleges policies and procedures relating to the behaviour of and safeguarding of young people and act in accordance with these.
  • Contributes to the boarding house rota
  • Carries out all house routines and registers as specified by the housemaster/mistress.
  • Is resident on duty days and weekends
  • Mentors the boarders academically and personally
  • When on duty supervises boarders by being a visible presence in the house

You:

  • Are caring, positive and reliable with a good sense of humour
  • Have enthusiasm and willingness to get involved in the life of a vibrant boarding school
  • Have flexibility, stamina and adaptability with a willingness to undertake extra duties.
  • Are an excellent role model for young people
  • Competency in the use of ITC
  • Experience in coaching either Football, Rugby, or Cricket

Salary: Up to £16,000 GPA (depending on experience)

Accommodation: Provided within the grounds (along with all meals whilst on duty)
