Our client is an ever-expanding technology-led environmental services consultancy that cover the drainage surveying sector. They offer a range of services including cutting-edge CCTV drainage surveys for various pipe diameters, including culverts up to 1.8m in diameter. They are committed to innovation and continuously integrate their expertise with a comprehensive array of capabilities including technical reports, blockage clearances and remedial work.
The Role
Our client currently has a fantastic opportunity for a CCTV Drainage Engineer to work in a remote, home-based role, covering a geographical region within commutable distance of your home. You will be carrying out all CCTV investigations and further work as required. The work will be completed accurately and to a high standard, confidently explain to customers what work you need to carry out ensuring you leave them with peace of mind.
Main Responsibilities
- Conduct/carry out comprehensive CCTV drainage condition surveys using both push rod and crawler unit systems.
- Evaluate and analyse drainage system conditions identifying blockages and structural defects.
- Generate detailed reports using specific industry software and provide remedial recommendations for any required repairs and maintenance.
- Generate detailed site plans using AutoCAD software.
- Carry out detailed mapping surveys using state of the art electromagnetic and sonde location techniques.
The Ideal Candidate
- An OS20X or OS19X CCTV qualification is desirable but excellent experience will surfice (you will have the opportunity to take this at companies expense)
- Preferably 3 or more years’ experience in the drainage sector.
- Experience using CAD (Computer aided design)
- Knowledge of drainage and sewer system design, construction, and maintenance practices.
- Strong analytical skills and ability to interpret technical data accurately.
- Strong communication abilities to effectively convey findings, recommendations, and reports.
- Ability to work independently and collaborate within a team in a fast-paced environment.
- Commitment to safety and adherence to industry regulations and guidelines.
- Other vocational certification including CSCS, HPWJ, Confined Space, NRSWA (preferred)
- A full UK driving license is essential
