Project Engineer - MEICA
PSR are working with a leading civil engineering contractor who are looking for an experienced Project Engineer with a background in MEICA (Mechanical or Electrical) or industrial installations to join the team on clean and waste water projects across the Severn Trent Water Framework.
This role involves providing technical input, ensuring safety and quality standards, and supporting the successful delivery of projects. You'll work closely with the Project Manager and team to plan and execute project activities, focusing on safety, efficiency, and customer satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities as a MEICA Project Engineer
- Support the delivery of MEICA projects, including specifications, contractor management, and time lines.
- Provide technical input, oversee designs, and ensure compliance with industry standards.
- Collaborate with stakeholders, including clients, consultants, and subcontractors, to meet project goals.
- Conduct site visits, resolve technical issues, and maintain quality control.
- Prepare project plans, schedules, and reports while monitoring budgets and risks.
- Ensure safety regulations and best practices are upheld throughout project execution.
- Manage documentation, including technical reports and change orders.
Essential experiencve as a MEICA Project Engineer
- Degree or equivalent in Mechanical, Electrical, ICA, Civil, or related engineering discipline.
- SMSTS, NEBOSH, and relevant CSCS qualifications.
- Proven industrial MEICA or engineering experience.
- Strong communication, leadership, and organisational skills.
- Proficient in Office 365 and familiar with safety legislation.
- Experience in utilities, particularly Water/Waste water.
Desirable
- Familiarity with WIMES Standards and model contracts (NEC, IChemE, MF1).
- EUSR Water Hygiene card and commercial/contract experience.
