We are seeking an Internal Sales Representative to join a dynamic local business. This role is ideal for someone who is eager to contribute to the growth of a leading company in the Construction sector. You will be responsible for managing sales volumes and margins within key account portfolios, ensuring effective customer and area management, and assisting in selling solutions to a diverse customer base.

Day-to-day of the role:

  • Develop and maintain excellent relationships with key customer accounts to satisfy their needs and maximise potential spends.
  • Identify new business opportunities within the sales area using various marketing avenues.
  • Respond promptly and efficiently to customer enquiries, queries, and complaints to achieve winning outcomes.
  • Assess competitor activity and use business intelligence to inform the sales team and price products accordingly.
  • Aim to maximise profit margins in line with targets set in the commercial strategy.
  • Collaborate with external executives to deliver outstanding customer service to both existing and potential new customers.
  • Participate in weekly and monthly sales meetings to report on sales activity and foster relationships with the sales team.
  • Perform other sales-related and support duties as required by the business.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • Excellent organisational and time management skills, with the ability to identify and prioritise key tasks.
  • Professional manner with outstanding communication skills, enabling effective liaison with a variety of stakeholders.
  • Team player who can build and develop internal relationships with colleagues.
  • Proactive “Can Do” attitude.
  • Proficiency in IT, including Microsoft Office.

Desirable Skills:

  • Technical knowledge of the construction industry and products.
  • Previous experience dealing with customers within the Construction and Waste industries
