JOB TITLE: METAL POLISHER - Permanent PositionLocation of Work: WolverhamptonHours: NIGHTS6PM to 6AM - Monday to Thursday

Salary: starts from Ā£44,644 for NIGHTS

MAIN DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:Immediate Permanent positions for experienced Metal Polishers to work within a team of polishers processing various parts predominantly for chrome and nickel finishes, with a total of ten finishes across all ranges produced.

  • Responsible for the polishing / linishing of components to a very high quality standard
  • Prepping parts and components ready for final stage of the polishing process
  • Processing various parts for castings, turned parts, pressings & spouts for various plating finish standards
  • Using various polishing machines and hand tools to complete the polishing /finishing
  • Ensure all work is undertaken in accordance with any work instructions / procedures
  • Responsible for components within the polishing workshop
  • Notify the team leader of consumable items that are out of stock
  • Ensure preventative maintenance schedules are completed as required
  • Report any quality issues / concerns to the team leader
  • Carry out routine maintenance when required.
  • Maintain good communications and relationships throughout the company
  • Ensure compliance with company procedures and make suggestions for improvement
  • Ensure compliance with Health and Safety requirements
  • Maintain a clean, safe working environment and good housekeeping standards
  • Ensure 5S standards are maintained.

Experience / Skills:

  • Solid metal industry experience working as a Metal Polisher
  • Experienced in linishing and grinding aspects of polishing
  • Competency with machinery and abrasive belts
