We're looking for a Metal Polisher responsible for the polishing/fettling of metallic parts.Benefits you'll get:• 25 days annual leave plus bank holidays• Holiday buy and sell scheme• Death in Service 3 x annual salary• Company Pension• Sickness Benefit • Employee Assistance Programme• Employee portal offering discounts/offers and employee assistance programme• Career development opportunities What will you do?• Plan and organise your work setup.• Polish parts accurately to meet cost and quality requirements outlined in work instructions.• Follow polishing standards from drawings and check your work during production.• Keep accurate records to comply with company standards and procedures.• Choose the best methods to polish metallic parts to required standards, using new ideas and past experiences.• Use hand and pneumatic tools to carry out daily tasks.• Be flexible, as the role may require helping in other areas beyond polishing, such as fabrication and machining.Who will you do it for?Our client is the UK's largest independent provider of nuclear engineering and manufacturing services.What will you need?• Apprentice trained with knowledge of manufacturing protocols (OEE, 5S).• Experience in metal polishing, finishing, fettling, and de-burring.• Ability to polish materials to a Brush' standard, with experience in other finishes such as Mirror.• Skilled with hand tools for metal finishing on stainless steel, steel, and exotic metals.Rotating shift pattern:Morning shift• Monday to Thursday 6am - 2.30pm• Friday 6am - 11amAfternoon shift• Monday to Thursday 2pm - 10pm• Friday 10.30am - 6pm CV not up to date?
