Labourer

An established M&E contractor is looking for a reliable and hardworking Labourer to join their team on a busy construction site in Wolverhampton. In this role, you will support the site team by assisting with general site duties, ensuring that the site remains tidy, supporting the movement of deliveries, and helping with manual lifting tasks. This is a great opportunity for a proactive individual looking to gain experience on a large-scale M&E project.

Key Responsibilities  

• Maintain a clean and tidy site by regularly clearing waste and debris, ensuring a safe working environment.
• Assist with the unloading, moving, and distribution of materials and equipment on-site.
•  Help with manual lifting and moving of materials and tools as needed by the site team.
• Support with setting up site facilities, including tools, equipment, and temporary structures as directed by the site manager.
•  Assist M&E engineers and subcontractors with any ad-hoc tasks that arise throughout the day.
• Ensure compliance with all site health and safety regulations, including wearing the required PPE and following safe work practices.
• Help to manage site materials, ensuring they are stored correctly and easily accessible when needed.

Key Requirements 

• CSCS card
• Previous experience as a Labourer on construction sites (preferably in M&E or related sectors), although full training will be provided for the right candidate.
• Must be able to perform manual lifting and physically demanding tasks.
• Ability to work well as part of a team, following instructions from supervisors and supporting other workers.
•  Basic knowledge of health and safety practices on construction sites.
• Good timekeeping and a strong work ethic
