Description
- Promote a positive Health and Safety culture within the organisation.
- Conduct regular safety audits and inspections.
- Develop, implement and review health and safety policies and procedures.
- Provide advice and guidance on health and safety matters to all staff.
- Lead investigations into any accidents or incidents.
- Deliver health and safety training to staff.
- Maintain records of inspections findings and produce reports suggesting improvements.
- Keep up to date with new legislation and maintain a working knowledge of all Health and Safety Executive (HSE) legislation.
Profile
A successful Health and Safety Advisor should have:
- Relevant qualifications in Health and Safety, such as NEBOSH or equivalent.
- Experience within the Industrial / Manufacturing sector.
- Excellent knowledge of health and safety legislation.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to deliver engaging training sessions.
- Proficient in risk assessments and accident investigation procedures.
