About the Role:

We are recruiting for a Credit Controller for a well-established company based in Wombourne. The company has a turnover of £37m, with 300+ live accounts, and is currently chasing between £3m-£4m per month. The role requires a highly organized individual to manage and control the company’s credit processes.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Managing credit control for 300+ live accounts.
  • Chasing outstanding payments, ensuring £3m-£4m is collected per month.
  • Handling credit checking and placing credit insurance.
  • Maintaining and updating the credit control ledger.
  • Liaising with customers to resolve payment issues and disputes.
  • Working closely with the finance team to ensure timely payments and cash flow.

Requirements:

  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in a credit control role.
  • Currently working in a Credit Control position.
  • Experience in industries like construction or manufacturing (preferred, but not essential).
  • Sage 50 accounts package experience.
  • Experience with credit checking and placing credit insurance is preferred.
  • CICM qualification or willingness to pursue this course (offered by the company).

Working Hours: Monday to Friday, 9:00 AM - 5:00 PM (1-hour unpaid lunch)
Holiday: 24 days + Bank Holidays (must keep 3-4 days for Christmas)
