Classroom Assistant, SEMH School, WolverhamptonAre you a Classroom Assistant or Behaviour Mentor looking for a new challenge within an excellent SEMH school? This school is looking for a Classroom Assistant / Behaviour Mentor to work on a 1-2-1 and small group basis with Key Stage 3 & 4 students that have SEMH needs and can display challenging behaviours. The role of a Classroom Assistant at this school is to motivate and inspire young people who have faced barriers to education. You will be supporting the class teacher and working closely with a team of experienced Teaching Assistants to manage classroom behaviours and provide academic support for students.As a Classroom Assistant at this school, you will be acting as a positive role model for young people who have struggled to engage with education. The school will provide you with any additional resources to training that you require to motivate young people. All you need is experience working with challenging behaviours, a passion for helping students overcome barriers to learning, resilience and a smile. Job Role:
  • Supporting challenging behaviours on a 1-2-1 basis.
  • Working as a Behaviour Mentor / Classroom Assistant.
  • Acting as a positive role model for students.
  • Delivering 1-2-1 intervention sessions focused on communication and behaviours.
