About the Role
Prospero Teaching are seeking enthusiastic and compassionate Supply SEN Teaching Assistants to support children with additional needs in schools across Wolverhampton. As a supply SEN Teaching Assistant, you will be providing crucial support on a temporary basis, ensuring children with diverse learning requirements are given the tailored care and educational assistance they need to thrive.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide 1:1 or small group support to children with a range of SEN, including autism, ADHD, learning difficulties, and physical disabilities.
- Assist with the delivery of personalised education plans.
- Foster a nurturing and supportive classroom environment.
- Help with the implementation of behavior management strategies.
- Work closely with the classroom teacher to assess and track student progress.
- Promote inclusion, social interaction, and independence for children with additional needs.
- Support students during classroom activities, breaks, and other school events.
Ideal Candidate:
- Experience working with children or young people with special educational needs (SEN), either in a school or care setting.
- A positive, patient, and proactive approach to supporting children.
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team and independently.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to build rapport with students, teachers, and other staff.
- Relevant qualifications such as a Level 2 or Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification are desirable but not essential.
