Job Overview
Our clients are seeking an experienced Electrical Maintenance Professional to join their Operations team at the Steelpark site in Wolverhampton. The ideal candidate will have a sound electrical background, proven track record of fault finding within a heavy industrial environment and have a desire to learn and develop.
The Shift Maintenance engineers work a 3 shift pattern, Monday - Friday and are responsible for proficiently servicing all process and auxiliary equipment within Steelpark, with a focus on reducing downtime and enhancing cost efficiency.

Responsibilities
- Support the operations teams by performing necessary breakdown repairs.
- Leading preventative maintenance activity and facilitating the promotion of engineering solutions for process improvement to ensure process availability, business objectives and productivity targets are maintained.
- Reporting and recording of maintenance and repair details for all work activities, using the appropriate maintenance management and IT systems
- To support the department in the development and implementation of processes which comply with the Tata Steel H&S Management System
- Utilising the planned maintenance system (Pirana), raising emerging work orders detailing non conformities observed and proposed corrective actions necessary to resolve issues
- Support the Engineering team to determine root cause and measures appropriate to prevent reoccurrence
- Ensuring clear and concise records are maintained in order trends can be determined and corrective actions identified
Qualifications and Experience
- Minimum NVQ level 3 or equivalent electrical trade
- Apprentice trained (desirable)
- Be able to demonstrate a sound electrical background
- Up to date with current health and safety regulations
- Experience of electrical maintenance and fault finding within a heavy engineering / industrial environment
