Do you love filing and records? Do you like ensuring that systems are in place and have an excellent eye for details both numerical and alphabetical? Well, this may be just the role for you!!

My prestigious and well-established client is looking for a Records Assistant to provide records management and administrative support to the team.

The position is office based in Wolverhampton, 9am to 5pm Monday to Friday, and a full driving license (preferably clean) would be very useful as it would be helpful if they were able to drive the firm’s van out to the branches if needed.

Essential Skills and Experience

  • Previous office experience - ideally with involvement in filing and records
  • An eye for details both numerical and alphabetical
  • A team player with good communication skills
  • Experience with Microsoft Office
  • Clean driving license

Key responsibilities

  • Working as part of a team, ensure that all archive and records quality standards and audit measures are implemented in line with agreed procedures within the Office Procedures Manual.
  • To receive requests for archived files, deeds, etc. for effective distribution around the Firm.
  • To maintain an effective records system ensuring procedural guidelines are implemented and always maintained including but not limited to cataloguing of records, retrieval of files/deeds, etc. and appropriate destruction of files as per the Firm’s destruction policy.
  • Ensure support team cover is provided at appropriate times to ensure excellent customer service provision is maintained.
  • Contribute to the development of processes/systems, appropriate IT use and any other resources available.
  • Assist with the processing of the firm’s mail when required
  • To comply with Health and Safety policies and procedures and work safely to ensure the safety of yourself and other colleagues.
