As a result of our partnership with a growing multi-site manufacturing firm in Wolverhampton, Gleeson Recruitment Group is seeking a Senior Payroll Coordinator to lead their payroll operations. In this role, you'll take ownership of the entire process, implement new procedures to optimise efficiency, and become the company's payroll expert.

Salary banding 33,000 - 40,000 FTE, part time hours are being considered, ideally 30hrs per week! Hybrid working is also on offer.

Senior Payroll Coordinator:

  • Efficiently manage the workflow to ensure accurate and timely payroll processing of assigned payrolls
  • Process new starters and leavers administration including tax codes, NI, student loads, P45s, and P11ds
  • Overtime and absence processing
  • T&A Management - oversee the time and attendance process end to end.
  • Process third party payroll deductions- reconcile deductions for all payrolls monthly and generate payment requisitions
  • RTI submissions - balance monthly payroll real time information and submit to HMRC
  • Reporting and Analysis

As the Senior Payroll Coordinator you will have:

  • Experience: Minimum of 5 years of end-to-end payroll processing experience.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, capable of effectively communicating with colleagues at all levels.
  • A flexible team player with a positive attitude, able to collaborate effectively within a team environment.
  • Demonstrates a commitment to honesty and high standards.
  • Exhibits confidence in driving change, with a motivation to challenge accepted methods for continuous improvement.
  • Familiarity with UK tax codes and National Insurance legislation.
  • High level of attention to detail, coupled with intermediate Excel skills Possession of a Level 3 Payroll Qualification - advantageous!
