We are recruiting an Asbestos Lab Analyst for a UKAS Accredited outfit in the Midlands. Candidates will need to be able to commute daily to the laboratory, and will need to hold the BOHS P401 qualification. You would suit this role if you are looking to join a busy and professional outfit, who can offer excellent progression routes and competitive salaries.

Our Client can consider candidates based in: Wolverhampton, Walsall, Codsall, Penkridge, Cannock, Stafford, Rugeley, Lichfield, Tamworth, Polesworth, Atherstone, Aldridge, Marston Green, Solihull, Coventry, Nuneaton, Bedworth, Redditch, Bromsgrove, Kidderminster, Stourbridge, Halesowen, Dudley, West Bromwich, Bridgnorth.

Experience / Qualifications:
- Will have experience working as a Laboratory Analyst for a UKAS Accredited Asbestos company
- Must hold the BOHS P401 qualification (or RSPH equivalent)
- Able to work both as part of a team and individually on projects
- Keen eye for detail and organised manner

The Role:
- Conducting bulk analysis of samples using PLM (polarised light microscopy) and Stereo Microscopy
- Bagging, handling and logging samples safely
- Issuing sample analysis certificates
- Working in accordance with H&S and UKAS guidelines
- Calibrating and maintaining laboratory equipment
- Updating Client databases as well internal records
