Role Overview – CNC Millturn Machinist
We are looking for an experienced CNC Millturn Machinist to join our leading aerospace manufacturing client in Wolverhampton. In this role you will be responsible for the involvement of manufacturing complex mechanical products that are often bespoke and high-profile. As part of the machining team, you will work to exceptionally close tolerances, an essential requirement within the aerospace industry. This role will require the successful candidate to work on a nightshift basis.
Key Responsibilities – CNC Millturn Machinist
- Operating CNC lathes
- Working with a variety of materials
- Setting up and using machine tools with confidence and precision
- Conducting first-off inspections and completing necessary quality documentation
- Ensuring components meet strict aerospace industry standards
- Using precision measurement equipment effectively
Key Expertise & Requirements – CNC Millturn Machinist
- Indentured apprenticeship, craft, or technical qualification (preferred)
- Previous experience in engineering/manufacturing, ideally within aerospace
- Strong knowledge of machining techniques and tooling
- High attention to detail, accuracy, and process improvement skills
- Ability to use relevant inspection techniques and equipment to achieve drawing tolerances
