Reed Legal is seeking a talented Divisional Legal Manager on behalf of a leading client to manage their Divisional Legal Centre and oversee a portfolio of plots, part exchanges and associated resales within the property market. As the Divisional Legal Manager, you will lead a team of ten dedicated professionals, ensuring they provide an efficient plot conveyancing service to multiple regional business units. You will be supported by an Assistant Divisional Legal Manager, who will assist with operational, technical, and HR-related tasks. Your role will be pivotal in maintaining a motivated team that delivers high-quality service to both internal and external customers.This is an exciting opportunity to manage and lead an efficient, service-led, and cost-effective plot conveyancing function. You will be responsible for inspiring and leading the in-house Conveyancing Team, ensuring they provide timely and efficient service. Your expertise will be crucial in preparing legal packs, handling infrastructure agreements, land transfers, sales of surplus land, and more. You will also provide proactive legal advice and ensure compliance with internal policies and legal procedures.
Location: Wolverhampton  Salary: £55,000 - £70,000 + 10% annual bonus and car allowance
Work type: Monday to Friday (Full-time, permanent)Flexible working:Â Hybrid working after a succesful probation with one day of home working.Â
Primary Responsibilities:•   Lead and inspire the in-house Conveyancing Team.•   Ensure the team is appropriately resourced and performs efficiently.•   Handle transactional work, including preparation of legal packs, infrastructure agreements, land transfers, and more.•   Provide proactive legal advice and ensure compliance with internal policies.•   Attend meetings with business units to prepare legal documents and sales packs.•   Support and train staff at all levels.
Experience, Qualifications, Technical Requirements:•   Qualified Solicitor, Legal Executive, or Licensed Conveyancer with a proven track record in Property Law and residential estate conveyancing.•   Experience managing a large team in a fast-paced environment.•   Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to motivate and develop staff.•   Experience dealing with housebuilders and associated legal issues.•   Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.If you are a qualified Solicitor, Legal Executive, or Licensed Conveyancer with a proven track record in Property Law and residential estate conveyancing, and have experience managing a large team, we want to hear from you!
