Role & Client Overview:

We have an exciting opportunity for an Early Years Trainer to join our clients team in Wolverhampton. This role involves training, mentoring, and assessing learners undertaking the Level 2 Diploma for Early Years Practitioners.

You will provide engaging learning experiences that prepare young people and adults for employment and career progression in the Early Years sector. This includes delivering lessons, observing learners in workplace settings, and assessing their knowledge, skills, and behaviours in line with qualification standards.

This is a hybrid role with a combination of classroom delivery and on-site visits to learners in their placements.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver Level 2 Diploma for Early Years Practitioners to learners.
  • Observe and assess learners in Early Years settings, ensuring they meet qualification standards.
  • Develop individual learning plans, ensuring all lesson plans align with curriculum requirements.
  • Provide contextualised employment and personal skills training alongside core learning.
  • Maintain a positive learning environment, managing learner behaviour both online and in-person.

Essential/Desirable Criteria:

  • Recognised Teaching Qualification (e.g. AET, PTLLS or equivalent - minimum Level 3).
  • Assessing Qualification (TAQA or A1 equivalent - desirable).
  • Level 3 Early Years Qualification (minimum).
  • Minimum of 2 years’ experience teaching 14-19 provision.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Excellent organisational and time management skills.
  • IT-literate, with the ability to use digital platforms for teaching and assessment.
  • Full, clean UK Driving Licence (essential).
