Bartlett Swann is recruiting on behalf of a prominent Mechanical and Electrical services provider in the building services industry. Our client specialises in delivering high-quality solutions for large-scale projects across key sectors such as Data Centres, Logistics, Industrial, and Commercial. With a proven track record of success across the UK, Ireland, and mainland Europe, theyve earned a strong reputation for delivering innovative and efficient services to leading names in the industry.

The Role:

As anElectrical Estimator, youll play a key role in delivering accurate and timely estimates for electrical projects from pre-tender through to post-tender stages. Initially based in the Wolverhampton office, with the option for hybrid working after 3-6 months, your responsibilities will include:

  • Preparing tenders in line with company standards, ensuring all details are consistently accurate.
  • Reviewing project costs post-completion to assess performance against the budget, driving continuous improvements.
  • Collaborating with the estimating team to hit revenue targets and share best practices.
  • Producing accurate take-offs, using estimating software to fully understand project costs.
  • Managing supplier and subcontractor enquiries, ensuring compliance with specifications and project needs.
  • Identifying value engineering and product substitution opportunities where relevant.
  • Keeping an eye on market trends and competition to ensure competitive and informed pricing.

About you:

We are keen to speak with candidates who:

  • Have previous experience as an Electrical Estimator or experience preparing electrical estimates in the building services industry.
  • Have experience in sectors like Data Centres, Amazon Fulfilment Centres, or other large-scale industrial projects.
  • Hold a Bachelors Degree in Engineering or a related discipline (preferred).
  • Possess knowledge of electrical installations (preferred but not essential).
  • Have strong interpersonal skills and a sound understanding of Health & Safety requirements.
