An exciting opportunity has arisen for a SENCO to join our team at Bushbury School
To be our SENCO, you'll be a multi-talented professional, you'll have great leadership and communication skills; endless enthusiasm, resilience and vision, and a commitment to both the education and the achievement of each young person
Bushbury School is an independent specialist day school providing high-quality education for boys and girls. Based in Wolverhampton, the school meets the diverse needs of pupils aged 7-19 with Autism and Speech, Language, and Communication Needs (SLC )
The successful applicants will need:
- SENCO Qualification or be close to completing
- Must have QTS
- Experience working as a SENDCo
- ASC/SLC specialism.

- You will have a passion for ensuring all young people succeed.
- Experience of working effectively with local authorities
- Be able to work collaboratively within a supportive, committed, and successful staff team.
- Have high aspirations for yourself and for others, and a commitment to further development.
- Have a robust understanding of SEND Code of practice
- An understanding of SEMH education and how to support the additional needs associated with SEMH pupils.
