Weare on the lookout for a Underwriting support to join our growing team in Wolverhampton. This is an exciting time to join our growing business and the successful candidate can expect fantastic career progression, training & development within the role and Insurance Industry in general. Relevant experience is desirable but not essential and the ideal candidate will have a genuine interest in a career within the insurance sector. The Role:You will be required to provide underwriting support and administration as required along with providing agreed levels of customer service to brokers and colleagues and develop a broad understanding of commercial underwriting skills.Responsibilities: 
  • Preparing New Business enquiries prior to submission to underwriters
  • Reviewing completed quotation requests and providing feedback to brokers and underwriters as necessary
  • Liaising with brokers in terms of coverage and pricing
  • Dealing with background checks and updating policy records
  • Assisting with claims enquiries
  • Answering phone calls and assisting with enquiries
  • Carrying out Sanction Search checks
  • Managing own workload of New and Existing Business cases as well as mid-term adjustments subject to agreed levels of authority
  • Assisting with general administration as required
  • Adherence to compliance and regulatory procedures
Experience:
  • Proficient in Word and Excel.
  • You will be able to understand and implement ‘best practice’ in customer service.
  • You will have a high level of accuracy and attention to detail, coupled with excellent time management.
  • You will be able to work under pressure, adapt and be flexible in approach.
  • You will have excellent communication skills which includes verbal, written, listening and negotiation, having the ability to communicate at all levels. 
  • You will be adept at problem-solving.
