We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Healthcare Assistant to join our team. In this role, you will provide essential support to patients in various settings, including care homes and home care environments. Your primary focus will be on assisting individuals with their daily activities, ensuring their comfort and well-being while adhering to care plans. Duties
- Assist patients with personal care tasks, including bathing, dressing, and grooming.
- Support individuals in daily living activities such as meal preparation and medication management.
- Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare professionals to ensure continuity of care.
- Drive to patients' homes as required, providing care in a variety of settings.
- Maintain accurate records of patient progress and report any changes in condition to the healthcare team.
- Implement care plans tailored to individual needs, ensuring that all aspects of patient care are addressed.
- Engage patients in social activities to promote mental well-being and enhance quality of life.
- Utilise IT systems for documentation and communication purposes.
Experience
- Previous experience in a healthcare setting is advantageous but not essential; training will be provided.
- Familiarity with home care practices and the ability to follow care plans is preferred.
- Strong command of English is required for effective communication with patients and colleagues.
- A valid driving licence is desirable for roles involving travel between locations.
