HCR is recruiting a Deputy Ward Manager for a creative private mental health hospital. The hospital is very much in its infancy —it only opened its doors in May 2023! The innovative company specialises in Eating Disorders  and  CAMHS, providing unique, tailored care. We require a  Deputy Ward Manager  with extensive experience in Eating Disorders to join a high-performing, high-tech, innovative  10-bedded CAMHS and Eating Disorder service.

Deputy Ward Manager Duties:

  • Provide clinical leadership to the day-to-day management of the nursing team by prioritising and monitoring the workload ensuring duties are delegated safely and effectively.
  • The Deputy Ward manager will provide expertise and guidance on delivering nursing care.
  • Ensure safe staffing levels across the service are met.
  • The Deputy Ward Manager will ensure all regulatory standards are being adhered to.
  • The deputy ward manager will motivate and lead the team to work towards outstanding nursing care levels.

Deputy Ward Manager Requirements:

  • To already be working in a leadership or management role such as Deputy Ward Manager, Charge Nurse or Senior nurse
  • Will have excellent experience in Eating disorders
  • Ideally to have experience in CAMHS
  • RMN or RNLD-qualified 
  • Ideally to have not essential level 4 qualification or higher in leadership and management
