Overview :

We are looking for SEN Teaching Assistants to join a school in Dudley, Wolverhampton, and Telford. This school specializes in supporting children with autism and associated challenges such as anxiety, speech, language, and communication barriers. These factors can hinder their success in larger settings. In our nurturing environment, students receive personalized guidance from their key workers, helping them to tackle and overcome their learning obstacles. Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide tailored support and care to students with SEN.
  • Work collaboratively with teachers and other staff to implement Individual Education Plans (IEPs).
  • Create and maintain a positive, inclusive, and supportive learning environment.
  • Assist in the planning and delivery of lessons and activities that meet the diverse needs of SEN students.
  • Monitor and record students' progress, providing feedback to teachers and parents.
  • Ensure the safety and well-being of all students at all times.

Requirements:

  • A minimum of six months of SEN experience in the UK.
  • Experience working with students with autism, anxiety and communication barriers
  • A valid and up-to-date DBS on the Update Service.
  • Relevant qualifications (e.g., CACHE Level 3 Certificate in Supporting Teaching and Learning in Schools)
  • Strong communication skills to effectively work with students, teachers, and parents.
  • Skills in managing challenging behaviours and promoting a positive learning environment
  • Adaptability to meet the diverse needs of students and adjust approaches as needed.
  • Relevant qualifications or training in SEN support are desirable but not essential
