Location: Wolverhampton (West Midlands Region)Salary: £30,000 - £40,000 per annum (Depending on Experience & Qualifications)Contract: Full-Time, Permanent (37.5 hours per week, Monday - Friday, 8:30 AM - 4:30 PM)

Role & Client Overview:

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Motor Vehicle Training Team Leader to join our clients team in Wolverhampton. This role involves leading a team of Apprenticeship Coaches to ensure the delivery of high-quality motor vehicle apprenticeship training, meeting key performance indicators (KPIs) and quality standards.

You will be responsible for mentoring and managing apprenticeship coaches, conducting remote and face-to-face training sessions, and ensuring learners are fully prepared for End Point Assessment (EPA).

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage and support a team of Apprenticeship Coaches to meet and exceed performance targets.
  • Conduct regular staff reviews, setting SMART targets to ensure KPIs are achieved.
  • Perform field observations and shadowing visits to maintain high teaching and assessment standards.
  • Oversee caseload management and workload allocation for delivery staff.
  • Gather and analyse learner and employer feedback, making recommendations for improvement.
  • Keep up to date with industry developments and ensure training resources meet awarding body requirements.
  • Support apprentices and employers in planning and tracking the 20% off-the-job training requirement.

Essential/Desirable:

  • Proven experience managing vocational training teams and meeting performance targets.
  • Strong knowledge of apprenticeship programme requirements and qualification structures.
  • Understanding of safeguarding policies and commitment to best practices.
  • Minimum of two years’ experience in apprenticeship training delivery or team supervision.
  • Relevant occupational competence in the motor vehicle industry.
  • Verifier Award (Desirable).
  • Level 2 literacy, numeracy, and ICT skills.
  • Full UK Driving Licence and access to a vehicle (essential).
