Working Monday to Friday 42.5 working hours, 45hrs total, 2.5 hrs unpaid break
Hawk 3 Talent Solutions are recruiting for a Senior Solutions Design Engineer for a large global company based in Wolverhampton.
The Role
Senior Solutions Design Engineer for logistical planning of new projects and/or improvement of the current processes. Will also be responsible for delivering any analytical work requested by the top management and presenting it in a precise and timely manner. Bring logistics solutions and ideas and plan implementation from start to finish.
Duties
- Work alongside new and existing customers, understanding their requirements before undertaking, creating and presenting solutions analysis and design
- Work independently on warehouse design projects whilst supporting multiple projects, varying in scale and complexity
- Develop a variety of operational concepts for both manual and automated solutions utilising innovation to meet customer requirements
- Take responsibility of the project management of the analytical and costing process, ensuring best practice is maintained throughout
- Aid with the production of internal and external proposals and presentations including producing relevant sections and taking part in customer presentations as required
- Work as part of a team focusing on the design and implementation of complex warehousing solutions
- Provide technical support to the Business development team in customer meetings
- Work closely with the business development and account development teams to create bespoke tender responses.
- Oversee solution design projects to sometime tight timelines, ensuring efficient resource allocation.
- Provide support to the Operational teams to assist innovation and efficiency that ensures alignment with strategic objectives.
- Identify and implement efficiency improvements in the supply chain process.
- Maintain knowledge of industry trends, innovations and best practices.
- Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations within the department.
Skills and Knowledge required
- Proficient in MTM Calculations (Essential)
- AutoCad experience (Essential)
- Previous exposure to working with data and numbers
- Understanding SAP system flow
- To be analytical with the data given
- Have good work ethics, be organised and hard working
- Strong interpersonal skills, able to work well within a team
- To be able to lead and upskill the team members
- Experience in leading large projects
