Are you a passionate individual with excellent attention to detail? Do you have a genuine desire to support children and young people with special educational needs? Our client is looking for a dedicated and experienced SEND Plan Writer to join their team.
About our client:
- Industry: Local Authority
- Contract Type: Temporary
- Start Date: January 6th, 2025
- End Date: August 1st, 2025
- Contract Length: 7 months
- Working Pattern: Full Time
Responsibilities and Benefits:
- Collaborate with children, young people, and their parents/carers to identify and meet their educational needs.
- Preparation and timely amendment of Education, Health and Care Plans (EHCPs) in accordance with relevant legislation.
- Maintain effective communication with young people and their parents/carers throughout the assessment and review process.
- Liaise with various agencies, such as NHS Trusts, Clinical Commissioning Groups, and Social Care, to ensure the best outcomes for children and young people.

Preferred Qualifications and Skills:
- Knowledge of relevant legislation, including the Children and Families Act 2014 and SEND Code of Practise.
- Strong written communication skills to draught and amend EHCPs accurately and within statutory timelines.
- Ability to work independently and make decisions while adhering to established guidelines.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills to build positive relationships with various stakeholders.
- Proficient in maintaining accurate records and producing reports.
- Valid driving licence required.
