Electrical Crane Service Engineer – Mobile Role

Location: West Midlands

Basic Salary: £35,000 - £42,000 per annum (depending on experience) OTE Minimum £50k per annum.

Additional Benefits: Excellent Overtime rates, company van, tools, PPE, Pension, and 33 days annual leave plus more.

We are seeking a skilled and motivated Electrically qualified Crane Service Engineer to join a leading company specialising in the maintenance and repair of overhead cranes and gantry. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone with strong electrical knowledge and firsthand experience in a similar field.

What's on Offer:

  • Basic Salary: £35,000 - £42,000 per annum (based on £15-£18 per hour).
  • Overtime: Paid at 1.5x after 45 hours/week (double time on Sundays and after 10 pm).
  • Company van, tools, and PPE provided.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct routine maintenance, servicing, and repair of Overhead and Gantry cranes to ensure optimal functionality.
  • Perform Pre-Delivery Inspections (PDI) to maintain high equipment standards.
  • Attend customer sites promptly to diagnose and resolve breakdowns.
  • Adhere to LOLER (Lifting Operations and Lifting Equipment Regulations) and LEEA (Lifting Equipment Engineers Association) standards.

The Ideal Candidate Will Have:

  • Strong electrical knowledge and relevant certifications (e.g., 18th Edition).
  • Electrically qualified ideally apprentice trained with NVQ qualification in Electrical Engineering
  • Proven experience in a similar role (e.g., cranes, powered access, plant machinery, or material handling equipment).
  • Full UK driving license and willingness to travel.
  • Ability to work at heights and familiarity with LOLER regulations.
