A leading manufacturer has a new vacancy for a Maintenance Engineer to join the team. An experienced Maintenance professional, candidates will be responsible for carrying out reactive and preventative maintenance on a range of complex machinery and you will also be involved in the installation of new equipment as the company invests in the facility.

 

Commutable from: Wolverhampton, Walsall, Dudley, Cannock, Telford, West Bromwich 

Salary: £ 38,000 - £ 45,000 + benefits

The Role

  • Provide preventative maintenance, installation, overhaul and repair of equipment.
  • Work with management to develop a total preventative maintenance schedule.
  • Assist in developing capital project programs for new equipment and major repairs.
  • Diagnose problems, replace or repair parts, test and make modifications.
  • Work with the Engineering Manager to identify areas for improvement.
  • Identify continuous improvement actions to machinery and reduce production down time.
  • Update and maintain internal database to record any fault issues and reordering of parts and products within the engineering department.
  • Record all breakdowns with faults, parts used, actions and times.

 

The Person

  • Electrical biased, multi-skilled Maintenance Engineer.
  • Prioritising of workload to ensure minimum production ‘downtime’
  • Up to date knowledge of electrical regulations
  • Ability to read drawings and manuals to aid repair and service
  • Demonstrated ability to use root cause analysis/problem solving process.
  • Worked in a complex manufacturing environment, some exposure to CNC machinery is advantageous.
  • You will have strong attention to detail, ability to work with minimal supervision including planning of own workload.
