Role Purpose
The Project Manager (Manufacturing) is responsible for overseeing the planning, execution, and delivery of manufacturing projects within a highly regulated environment. The role ensures manufacturing activities align with the projects objectives and are delivered on time, within budget, and to the required quality standards. This position plays a crucial role in driving the success of the manufacturing aspects of projects, ensuring they contribute to overall company goals and customer satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities
- Project Planning & Monitoring: Lead the creation and management of manufacturing project plans, ensuring progress is tracked against schedules.
- Cost Management: Provide the Senior Project Manager and Cost Engineer with monthly cost forecasts for manufacturing activities, adhering to the reporting calendar.
- Communication Liaison: Act as the central communication point between customers, the Senior Project Manager, and the production facility.
- Resource Coordination: Collaborate with procurement to allocate
- materials, personnel, and equipment efficiently to meet project timelines and ensure smooth operations.
- Budget Oversight: Manage the transfer of budgets to procurement for outsourcing decisions and vice versa.
- Customer Visits: Facilitate and lead customer visits and oversee witness points as required.
- KPI Reporting: Produce key performance indicators (KPIs) such as schedule adherence, earned value analysis (EVA), quality, cost, and delivery metrics.
- Quality & Compliance: Ensure all manufacturing projects meet company and industry quality standards.
- Non-Conformance Reporting (NCRs): Manage and ensure timely completion and communication of NCRs.
- Issue Resolution: Address and resolve project challenges related to budget, design changes, profitability, quality, and delivery deadlines.
- Production Meetings: Attend and support production planning meetings,
- contributing to schedule optimization and overall operations.
- Health, Safety & Environmental Compliance: Adhere to all applicable Health, Safety, and Environmental legislation and company standards.

Essential Skills & Experience
Operational:
- Thorough understanding of production processes, tolerances, and work scopes.
- Strong knowledge of EVA (Earned Value Analysis).
- Ability to create and read project plans using Gantt chart format.
- Solid understanding of financial reporting within projects.
- Expertise in risk analysis and mitigation strategies.
- Natural leadership with the ability to win support and negotiate solutions effectively.
IT Skills:
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Project, and PowerPoint.
- Ability to interpret data, providing insights into the causes behind trends and results.
Required Qualifications & Attributes
- Graduate-level qualification or equivalent capability.
- Minimum of 3 years of significant project management experience in a highly regulated environment.
- At least 3 years of experience managing projects in a manufacturing setting.
- Calm, methodical, and detail-oriented, with a focus on delivering results.
- Strong communication skills, with the ability to engage effectively at all levels, from board members to operators.
- Competence in producing detailed yet concise project reports.
Desired Qualifications & Attributes
- 5 years of experience in a similar role within the manufacturing sector.
- Knowledge of Power BI
- Familiarity with MES (Manufacturing Execution System) or ERP systems.
