Role Overview:

Our client is looking for an operations Manager to join their team. The successful candidate will be ensuring the day-to-day operations of the company are performed efficiently and effectively.  Acting a role model and ambassador to the company, establishing industry standards and requirements.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assisting with the oversight of projects within the business, ensuring a timely completion staying within budget
  • Efficient and effective supply chain management by keeping strong communication with workshop and purchasing foreman.
  • Implementing goals within the business and establishing industry and requirements
  • Assisting within budget management including but not limited to monitoring expenses/revenues – adjusting spending as needed
  • Scheduling of work, ensuring it’s operating effectively
  • Enforcing quality control
  • Improving operational performance, while procuring materials and resources
  • Co-ordinating all direct reports to ensure manpower is running efficiently and general performance management
  • Providing updates to Senior Leadership team with performance updates for the whole department.
  • Co-ordinate the efficient utilisation of all plant and equipment with oversights of the weekly plan.
  • Oversee and co-ordinate recruitment/selection, departmental inductions and continuous learning and development.

Person Specification:

  • Able to be a positive role model and ambassador for the company and everything it stands for.
  • Excellent time management and organisation skills
  • Clear understanding of the costs when managing a fleet of vehicles
  • Able to keep up to date with industry trends
