Job Title : Bill Of Materials Specialist (BOM)

Oliver Rae is currently recruiting an experienced Bill of Materials Specialist for a well known Manufacturer based in Wolverhampton. The Bill of Materials (BOM) Specialist is responsible for creating, managing, and maintaining accurate bills of materials for products within the organisation. This role ensures all components, sub-assemblies, and finished products are accurately documented to support manufacturing, procurement, inventory management, and product development. The BOM Specialist collaborates closely with the shop floor to ensure the BOMs are up-to-date and reflect current product specifications.

Brief Description of Job Duties:

Develop and maintain detailed bills of materials for new and existing products.

Update BOMs based on engineering change orders (ECOs) and ensure all modifications are accurately reflected.

Work closely with engineering teams to understand product design changes and their impact on the BOM.

Ensure all BOM data is accurate, complete, and up-to-date in the company's ERP/MRP system.

Conduct regular audits of BOMs to identify and correct discrepancies.

Generate and distribute BOM reports as needed to support various departments.

Maintain detailed documentation of all changes and updates to the BOMs.

Requirements

Must have some understanding of engineer drawings.

Strong attention to detail and accuracy.

Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel.

Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.

Effective communication and interpersonal skills.

Other :

Working hours are Monday - Thursday 08:00 - 16:30 and Friday 08:00 - 13:30
