Are you a skilled Manual Machinist looking for a role where your expertise in machining and assembly is valued? We’re searching for an experienced professional to join a busy workshop in Wolverhampton, working on precision-engineered components.
What You’ll Be Doing:
- Operating lathes, milling machines, grinders, and drill presses
- Reading and interpreting engineering drawings
- Setting up and operating manual machinery for precision machining
- Performing accurate measurements to ensure parts meet specifications
- Shaping, cutting, and finishing ferrous & non-ferrous metals
- Final assembly of fabricated and machined parts
What We’re Looking For:
- Time-served machinist (apprenticeship preferred)
- Experience in tooling/fixture making is highly desirable
- Knowledge of fabrication, sheet metal work, and welding (MIG/TIG experience is a plus)
- Understanding of mechanical fitting and assembly processes
What’s On Offer:
- £30,000 - £32,000 per year (negotiable)
- Overtime paid at standard rate weekdays & 1.5x on Saturdays
- Early Friday Finish
