Welding Inspector
British passport holders only, due to security clearance needed

- Rates: £32 an hour (outside IR35) + expenses + hotel if required

We are currently recruiting for an international client with major projects within their portfolio.
We are looking for a Welding Inspector with a history of inspection and who has either worked for a principal contractor or client on projects similar to HV substations, offshore substations, energy generation construction projects or major grid connection projects from conception to completion.
As the Welding Inspector, the role will be to inspect and oversee the Welding activities on site for a major project in the UK
Duties:
- Inspection of Welding activities in accordance with Master ITP and contract requirements.
- Perform non-destructive testing (NDT) on welds using various methods such as ultrasonic (UT)
- Interpret and assess NDT results to determine the quality of welding on the project
- Prepare inspection reports (ITP's) and maintain accurate records of all welding activities
- Collaborate with other departments to ensure that welding activities are integrated into the overall project plans
- Ensure compliance with industry standards and client requirements
Requirements:
- CSWIP level 3.1 Welding Inspector
- NDT tickets PCN level 2 in DPI, UT 3.1 3.2, MPI and CSWIP 3.1 (combination)
- Ultrasonic Testing (UT) - experience and ticket highly desirable
