Temporary Functional Skills Tutor
Location: Wolverhampton
Duration: Week commencing 27th January, Monday to Friday, 8:30 AM - 4:00 PM
Overview:
We are seeking a passionate and skilled Functional Skills Tutor to deliver face-to-face teaching to a small group of learners (Level 1 and Level 2) in Wolverhampton. This temporary role involves preparing learners for their Level 1 Functional Skills exam and providing focused revision and support to ensure success.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver engaging and effective teaching sessions for Level 1 and Level 2 Functional Skills (English and Maths).
- Prepare learners for their Level 1 Functional Skills exam by covering revision materials and exam techniques.
- Ensure learners are confident and well-prepared for their assessments.
- Adapt teaching methods to suit the needs of the small group and provide individual support where necessary.
Schedule:
- Face-to-Face Delivery: Week commencing 27th January (Monday to Friday, 8:30 AM - 4:00 PM).
- Future face-to-face courses may include one week dedicated to English or Maths, with remote delivery as follows: two days English and three days Maths per week.
Qualifications and Experience:
- A teaching qualification is preferred but not essential.
- Strong occupational competency in any sector is highly valued.
- Experience in delivering Functional Skills or similar training is beneficial, though specific experience with apprenticeships is not required.
