We are seeking a skilled Manual Machinist to join our dynamic team. The successful candidate will be responsible for operating various manual machining equipment to produce precision components. Responsibilities
- Operate manual milling machines and lathes to fabricate parts according to specifications.
- Assemble components and ensure they meet design requirements.
- Perform grinding operations to achieve precise dimensions and finishes.
- Utilise hand tools and power tools effectively for various machining tasks.
- Conduct quality checks on finished products using basic maths and measurement techniques.
- Maintain tooling and equipment in good working order, ensuring safety protocols are followed.
- Collaborate with team members to improve processes and product quality.
- Interpret CAD drawings and schematics to execute machining tasks accurately.
Skills
- Proficient in basic maths for measurements and calculations.
- Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to troubleshoot equipment issues.
- Experience with tooling and understanding of plastics injection moulding processes is advantageous.
- Ability to assemble components with precision and attention to detail.
- Familiarity with grinding techniques and operation of milling machines is essential.
- Competence in using both hand tools and power tools safely and effectively.
- Experience in reading and interpreting CAD drawings is preferred.
