We are recruiting for the University of Wolverhampton for the Head of Business Continuity, Risk and Major Incident Planning

The role is initially for a 6 month period and is hybrid role with 60% of the week spent at one of the University of Wolverhampton Campus's.

Our client, a prominent institution in the higher education sector, is seeking an experienced individual to join their team as the Head of Business Continuity, Risk and Major Incident Planning. As the Head of Business Continuity, Risk and Major Incident Planning, you will play a crucial role in safeguarding the institution's operations. You will be responsible for developing and implementing comprehensive strategies that ensure the resilience of the University against potential risks and major incidents. Your expertise will guide the organisation in maintaining the highest standards of compliance and readiness.

  • Design and oversee emergency frameworks, ensuring they meet regulatory standards and best practises.
  • Engage stakeholders across the University, including the Board of Governors and senior leadership, fostering a culture of risk awareness.
  • Lead strategic planning initiatives, including developing robust business continuity and major incident plans.
  • Manage project timelines and deliverables effectively, ensuring all initiatives are on track.
  • Conduct thorough risk assessments, identifying vulnerabilities and recommending appropriate solutions.
  • Develop and implement training programmes that empower staff to respond effectively during critical incidents.
  • Cultivate strong relationships with external partners, including emergency services and regulatory bodies.
