Morson are working with a leading Aerospace Manufacturer who are looking for a Junior Production Controller to join them.

Below is more details of what the role requires:-

Key Responsibilities

  • Support production control team with work order release in line with MPS requirement/internal requirements.
  • Management of SAP inventory transactions in line with agreed processes, including goods issue, production order splitting etc.
  • Working with operators, production schedules, materials and equipment to ensure on time in full delivery to all customers.
  • Support with relative quality actions, including raising of Quality Notifications and rework layouts.
  • Co-ordinate with logistics to ensure timely delivery of material to production lines.
  • Support with management of SAP production orders integrity.
  • Support the production control team with WIP tracking activities
  • Support in the management of subcontract suppliers and their product lines to ensure continual part supply and forecast.
  • Supply Chain delivery assurance from minus 4 weeks to production.
  • Provided full continuous production control support across a double day shift

Administrative responsibilities

  • Raising and printing of the production plans
  • Forming and distributing the production order packs for release to material kitting.
  • Support operations with visual management activities including 5S, Layered audits, EH&S, delivery output boards
  • Tracking departmental actions against deadlines.
  • Raising and tracking non-production orders to support gears procurement needs.
  • Support with consumable equipment tracking and actions (IE gauges calibration register)
  • Support with weekly team communication by updating and maintaining presentation slides.

Skills & Experience:

  • Good influencing skills and ability to cope under pressure.
  • Responsive to change working in an environment of continuous improvement.
  • Demonstrable use of SAP, MS Excel & MS PowerPoint.
  • Highly motivated with excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong initiative and accountability
  • Experience in Aerospace / Automotive or Manufacturing industries
