Our client, a leading company in the aerospace industry, is currently seeking a Buyer to join their team! As a Buyer, you will play a crucial role in managing supplier communication and ensuring timely deliveries. Summary:
- Start date: March 2025
- Duration: 12 months with potential to be longer!
- Location: Wolverhampton
- Pay Rate: £20.00 per hour
- Hours: Mon - Thurs 8 - 16.45 Fri 8 -12 - Hybrid working available after initial training period
As a Buyer, you will play a crucial role in ensuring our client's supply chain runs smoothly.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Managing an order book for a selection of suppliers, ensuring timely deliveries.
- Raising and amending purchase and scheduled orders.
- Resolving invoice queries and issuing RFQs (Request for Quotations).
- Keeping key internal stakeholders updated on delivery statuses through meetings and escalation files.
- Collaborating with cross-functional teams, including Finance, Engineering, and Operations, to address supply chain issues promptly.
- Maintaining updated escalation files to facilitate effective communication.
- Reviewing internal metrics to analyse performance and drive improvement.
- Working closely with Account Managers to develop strategic solutions.
Skills & Qualifications:
- Strong supply chain management skills
- Excellent relationship management abilities
- Knowledge of SAP is essential
- Data analysis skills
- Strong communication skills
